Thrift and Bargain Finds - uses and conversions

This page will cover thrift store finds that I will, or have, decided to use, alter or redesign for another purpose or to give it a new look.

Here's one of my latest finds:

This silverware box was only $5 from a local museums gift shop - score!

When I purchased it I wasn't sure what I would do with it, but I was sure it would help me organize something or another.  It has since become my sewing essentials kit.

I will pretty it up a bit at some point, but for now it's function over form.

Here's another thrift store find:

 I haven't a clue what this was originally for but I knew right away for $2 it was destined to become my new sculpting tool caddy/lift. It works perfectly to bring pieces up to eye level so I'm hunched over my desk for hours unending.

Lots of sculpting tools fit on both tiers and there's room for more!
